Is not the weather strange? Last week, we have groaned under the heat, felt constantly having to shower and we could eat only ice-cold melons. Now, the morning fog hangs above the valley, it rains often and I'm wearing re-sleeved tops, make me hot tea and evening seeking cuddly socks out for us. The air smells different, it herbstelt sort of.

The berry crop is this year also, however, is not the weather to blame but a small pack of blackbirds is attacked the bushes, empty eaten Ratzeputz all, even the head-high shrubs of the neighbors, but at least had the blueberry and blackberry not ready - they have left us and I start thinking about protecting networks.

The last 2 weeks we had wonderful visit and I have not come to the computer, not to mention the crochet, grad got a ridiculously small number, I managed to so there is still much to do. Other things outside of the blog, so I'd make a little summer break, even if the degree summer no longer looks like summer.

The weather here is very strange this year, last week we still were in the middle of a heat wave with lots of moaning about it, we were dizzy and lazy, icecold Melones eat all day long, wished to have a shower every hour, garden sat in dry meadows for picnics, had the windows wide open and soaked up the smell of all the flowers and herbs in the, even the nights were still too warm to have a comfortable sleep. And this week there is fog hanging over the valley every morning, long sleeved shirts are appreciated now and so are warm and cosy socks, once again I enjoy drinking a cup of hot tea, it´s often raining and the air is smelling like autumn already.

We had friends here during the last 2 weeks, so I nearly never switched on my computer, nor was I busiely working on my blanket, a single tiny row was all I have managed to make. So there is still a lot for me to do, even some things beside blogging and crochet, and therefore I want to say Good bye for a while to have a summer break, even if the summer doesn´t look like summer at the moment here.

I have just discovered on Ravelry one of the most beautiful hexagon blankets I have seen, so I thought if you have missed it, in any case you should take a look. But what impressed me even more than the blanket are the cushions , oh my, so very gorgeous, so completely what I love the colors, the design, I am overwhelmed and much impressed. As soon as possible I have to visit a fleamarket here to look for such pretty old fabrics and doilies.

exactly 1 year old today. That is equivalent to 20 human years. And just as childish, playful, sometimes obtuse, but very very sweet, shy unreasonable times, times very sure of themselves, almost always in a good mood, at times insulting, adventurous, many bees in its head and for any nonsense as we have probably at this age. What a glorious age!

Her first birthday. Means 20 human years. And she is exactly as childish and silly, playful, sometimes un-seeable, but mostly very very sweet, unreasonable, sometimes shy, sometimes much independent and self-confident, nearly always happy, sometimes feeling offended, adventurous, risky-and odd, with many funny ideas and joining nonsense like we did so, had and have been in that age. What a wonderful age it was!

Last night on the way home after a heavy rain came by chance, just stop and admire the beautiful old cars. Do not they have much more charm and elegance than any of the much faster, cleaner and safer cars today? Just the colors!
